Merlin released the
first (in the world, so far as we know) PC based MRP
software system for manufacturers in 1992, a time
when such powerful applications were the province
of massive mainframe computers.
The original was a DOS package (still available
from this website for diehards), but is has long-since
been replaced by the seminal Windows Merlin MRP
2000 package, building on the technology of the
original, yet itself the subject of intensive development
over a number of years.
This astonishing system gives manufacturing plants
and job shops (manufacturing workshops) the opportunity
to own a software package that calculates MRP and
raises the requisite Works and Purchase Order requirements
at blistering speeds, yet due to our Internet distribution
system is available at an uncharacteristically low
prices for such an awesome product, and indeed for
software of this class.
